Lukas Graham Unveils Folk-Infused ‘Good Times’ Album and Joins Ed Sheeran Tour

1–2 minutes

Lukas Graham is set to release his fifth studio album, ‘Good Times,’ on August 14, 2026, through Virgin Music Group. The 13-track collection has already offered listeners a preview with advance singles ‘Second Chance’ and ‘To Know A Girl.’

The album’s musical direction leans heavily into Celtic and folk traditions, drawing inspiration from Graham’s Copenhagen upbringing and the heritage of his late Irish father. This blend of influences shaped the recording process, which took place in various locations including Nashville and New York. The sessions brought together a collective of musicians with ties to Graham’s father and the broader folk community.

Notable collaborators on ‘Good Times’ include Michael McGoldrick (uilleann pipes and Irish flute), Sam Grisman (bass), Tim O’Brien (mandolin and backing vocals), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), and Brian Sutton (guitar).

Among the album’s deeply personal tracks is ‘Before You Go,’ written in 2019 for a chronically ill friend named Thomas and first performed publicly at his funeral. Another song, ‘Freetown Road,’ serves as an ode to Christiania, the Copenhagen commune where Lukas Forchhammer spent his formative years.

Following the album’s debut, Lukas Graham will join Ed Sheeran as a special guest for select North American dates of the 2026 ‘Loop Tour.’ His appearances are slated to begin on August 15, 2026, just one day after ‘Good Times’ becomes available.
