Madonna leads the nominations for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, securing 11 nods. Her nominations include Video of the Year for her short film ‘Confessions II,’ Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year for ‘Bring Your Love,’ her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
This strong showing follows the success of Madonna’s 15th studio album, ‘Confessions II.’ The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been critically acclaimed as her best work in over two decades.
Taylor Swift is the second-most nominated artist, with nine nominations. These include Video of the Year for ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ and Artist of the Year. Swift, who currently holds 30 VMA awards, is one ‘Moon Person’ trophy away from becoming the most awarded artist in the show’s 40-year history.
Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter each received seven nominations. Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress, and Zara Larsson each earned five nominations.
Live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The ceremony will be broadcast across CBS, MTV, and Paramount+.
