Stowe, Vermont is preparing to host a significant cultural event as The Current presents the first solo exhibition by New York-based sculptor and performance artist Miles Greenberg. This marks Greenberg’s debut in the state and his inaugural exhibition with The Current, running from June 20 to October 17, 2026.
Born in Montreal in 1997, Miles Greenberg brings a unique artistic vision honed under the mentorship of Marina Abramović. His work has been featured internationally at venues including the Venice Biennale, the Louvre, and the New Museum. In 2023, he was recognized on Forbes’ ’30 Under 30′ list in the Art & Style Category.
Greenberg’s artistic practice delves into the poetics of the human form, often viewed through the lens of the African diaspora. His creations center on themes of movement, endurance, and emotional transformation, utilizing the physical body itself as sculptural material. Many of his projects originate as durational performances, which are then transformed into large-scale, immersive video installations for wider audiences.
The exhibition at The Current will feature two of Greenberg’s notable immersive video installations: ‘LE MIROIR’ and ‘TЯUTH’. ‘LE MIROIR’, a six-channel video installation, narrates a surreal queer love story, drawing inspiration from the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. This particular work is making its United States debut as part of this exhibition, having been originally staged live in Marrakech and later shown in Dubai. Complementing this is ‘TЯUTH’, a three-channel video installation, which captures a seven-hour durational performance filmed in Brooklyn in 2023.
Art enthusiasts in Vermont and beyond will have the opportunity to experience Miles Greenberg’s compelling work when his solo exhibition opens its doors at The Current from June 20 to October 17, 2026.
